Concrete garden paths, house blind areas, areas in front of the garage, etc. are subject to constant mechanical loads, exposure to precipitation, temperature changes and other factors. Let's look at the procedure for pouring concrete and how to process it to make it stronger and more durable.
Will need
- dry cement or mixture for ironing;
- liquid glass;
- rule;
- ironer;
- polyurethane grout;
- mesh polymer material;
- waterproof film.
Concreting process
To obtain high-quality concrete of the M200 brand, we use M400 cement, washed sand, crushed stone of the 5-20 mm fraction in the proportion 1: 2: 4 and 100 g of liquid glass for each batch. We level the surface of the screed using a rule, giving it transverse reciprocating movements.
Leave everything for 1-2 hours so that the water leaves the surface.
Then sprinkle the screed evenly with dry cement or ironing compound through a polymer mesh to prevent the ingress of pebbles and lumps.
Rub the powder into the top layer of the fill using a trowel and leave for 10-12 hours.
Next, wetting the concrete surface with water, we direct decor- roughening by circular movements with polyurethane grout.
To prevent rapid evaporation of water, which will lead to cracking and loss of strength of concrete, cover the screed with a waterproof film.
In 14 days, the mixture is strengthened by more than 50% and can be used. Concrete needs 28 days to fully gain strength.
