When assembling a frame for drywall, it is sometimes necessary to use CD profile connectors. If you need a lot of them, then it makes sense not to waste money, but to make connectors from scraps. It's very simple and fast.
Materials:
- any board, piece of plywood or chipboard;
- CD profile trims;
- a piece of shovel handle;
- wood screws 4 pcs.
Manufacturing process of profile connectors
A piece of profile 15-30 cm long must be screwed to a board or other base using several self-tapping screws.
Its stiffening ribs at the edges are cut off or straightened with pliers. A piece of a shovel handle is also prepared.
Blanks for connectors are cut from profile scraps; their length should be approximately 10-15 cm. Then they are inserted one by one into the assembled device with the back wall facing out.
After this, the blanks are pressed through a piece of the cutting.
The resulting connector is inserted inside between the two profiles being joined.
For reliability, along the edges, the stiffening ribs are crushed in several places with pliers.
All profiles will not go anywhere.
